Trump to Mark 100 Days in Office with Michigan Rally
MACOMB COUNTY, Mich.(AP) — President Donald Trump will hold a rally in Macomb County, Michigan, next Tuesday, April 23, to celebrate his first 100 days in office, the White House confirmed Wednesday. This marks Trump’s first visit to the state since his election in November.
White House Statement
White House Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated, “President Trump is excited to return to the great state of Michigan and will celebrate his first 100 days in office with a rally in Macomb County.”
Leavitt added, “Michigan residents are benefiting from President Trump’s policies to revitalize the U.S. economy and secure our southern border, and the best is yet to come!”
Recent Trip to Rome
Prior to the Michigan rally, Trump traveled to Rome over the weekend to attend the funeral of Pope Francis. This was his first international trip of his second term.
Governor Whitmer’s Potential Appearance
When questioned about the possibility of Michigan’s democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer appearing with Trump in Michigan, a spokesman for the governor said, “There is no information to reveal right now.”
