In a recent announcement, Turkmenistan Airlines, based in Central Asia, declared the suspension of all flights to Moscow, Russia due to mounting security fears. This decision comes in the wake of several Ukrainian drone attacks on the Russian capital over the past few days.

Citing concerns about the situation at Moscow airport and the subsequent risk assessment for flight safety, Turkmenistan Airlines confirmed the grounding of all flights on the Ashgabat-Moscow-Ashgabat route. As an alternative, the airline will now direct its operations towards Kazan, a city located over 700 kilometers east of Moscow, in the southwestern part of Russia.
