Actor Yo Oizumi ‌(51) recently⁤ appeared on the TV Asahi program “Kaji Yarou!!! 3-Hour ‍Special” (7:00 p.m.) and shared his “saving recipes” that have ⁣been gaining ‍attention.

The program, titled “A big investigation into the subtle ‍money-saving techniques that people on the street secretly⁢ use!”, covered various⁤ recipe ideas, ⁢including‌ Oizumi’s ‍”budget meals” that he often makes in his private life.

Oizumi introduced‌ his “delicious⁢ chazuke” (rice with tea) recipe, which he makes using leftover‌ sashimi. He explained ⁣that ⁤when⁣ he⁣ receives ‍bonito, he can’t eat it all before⁤ it loses⁤ its texture. To revive the dish, he marinates the⁢ bonito in⁤ soy sauce ⁢and ‍mirin, then pours warm water over it, changing the texture and ‌making it delicious again.

To make Oizumi’s ‌delicious chazuke, cut bonito into‍ 1.5 cm pieces⁤ and place them in a storage ‍bag with ⁢soy sauce and mirin. Rub ⁤the mixture in, remove as much air as possible, and refrigerate for half⁣ a day. place the bonito ‌on top‌ of rice, followed ‌by chopped green onions, hot ⁣soup stock, and chopped‌ seaweed.

Celebrity Gal Sone, who tried the ⁢dish, was impressed, saying,⁤ “It’s so delicious!” Comedian Bakarhythm also ‌enjoyed⁣ it,‌ exclaiming, “Wow! I can eat⁤ this!” Viewers have also commented on⁤ the recipe, with some expressing ⁤interest in trying it with seared ochazuke.

Some viewers have commented, “Tsukemono chazuke looks delicious,” ⁢and “I’ve⁣ only ever ⁢made it with raw⁤ bonito, but ⁣I wonder what seared ochazuke‌ would be like.‍ I’d like to try it!”
