Sports commentator Ahmed Al-Tayeb, a commentator for BIN Sports and Al-Qas channel, expressed his anger towards one of the show’s presenters for their comments about Al-Ahli Club and its board chairman Mahmoud Al-Khatib.
Al-Tayeb stated on Al-Mashhad channel: “Mahmoud Al-Khatib is 100% a legend, and the legend is not in numbers and championships, but in the amount of emotional impact he has on the fans.”
He added: “Al-Khatib has influenced many audiences and is a different person, but he is not a red line.”
Al-Tayeb continued: “Isn’t the red line you’re facing that Al-Ahly doesn’t need this?”
Al-Tayeb concluded his speech, in response to the presenter of the program who said: “What is the problem if I am Ahlawi?”: “Al-Ahlawi is far from meeting me, but now you are a broadcaster, you must be neutral.”
