On February 23, 1996, a part of the municipality of Vogošća was reintegrated into the constitutional and legal order of FBiH. This is one of the most important dates in the recent history of the Municipality of Vogošća. On this occasion, representatives of the Municipality, veterans’ associations and political parties laid flowers, read the Fatiha and observed a minute’s silence to honor the fallen fighters and civilian victims of the past war.
On the occasion of the reintegration day of Vogošća Municipality, flowers were laid at the Central Memorial to Martyrs and Fallen Fighters and the Monument to Civil War Victims in Vogošća.
– This story about reintegration must be told constantly and repeated, especially to the younger generations, and the fact that no one gave us a gift, nor did we get freedom, we fought very bloody and did not give our lives, we were killed, but we defended freedom – pointed out Omer Osmanović, Minister of Veteran Affairs of the KS.

For four years the exiled citizens of Vogošća waited for this day, which marked the beginning of a new period in the post-war development of this local community.
On the occasion of the Reintegration Day of the Municipality of Vogošća, a formal session of the Vogošća Municipal Council was held.
