XDefiant, a new multi-faction FPS game based on Ubisoft masterpieces like Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, and The Division, has finally set a release schedule after a long delay.
Ubisoft announced the release date of the game on the official website of XDefiant on the 3rd. The game will release on May 21st for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S and supports Korean. The game was introduced in 2021 as an FPS with factions based on major Ubisoft games. Five factions appear: Libertad (Far Cry), Phantoms (Ghost Recon), Echelon (Splinter Cell), Cleaners (The Division) and Dedsec (Watchdogs).

After launch, a six-week pre-season begins, featuring 5 modes, 14 maps, 24 weapons and 44 attachments. Furthermore, after the end of the pre-season, it will be converted into quarterly updates, and a battle pass consisting of 90 levels will be introduced once every three months. New maps, weapons and factions are added every season and we plan to release 4 factions, 12 maps and 12 weapons within the first year of launch.

XDefiant was originally scheduled to release last summer, but was pushed back to October of that year due to issues with the certification process for each console. Subsequently, in testing conducted before its release in October, the gameplay experience received negative reviews, so it was delayed once again to make up for it. And this time the release schedule has been announced once again. The fact that it failed to elicit a positive response even after long-term testing is considered a factor of concern.
