‘taskmaster Club 100’ Initiative Offers Free Creative lessons for UK Schools

One hundred UK secondary schools will gain access to free creative lesson plans through the ‘Taskmaster Club 100’ initiative, a joint effort from the Intellectual Property office (IPO) and Taskmaster Education. The program seeks to enhance students’ problem-solving skills, encourage teamwork, and increase intellectual property awareness.
Applications are being accepted from June 10 until August 15, 2025. The initiative builds upon the IPO’s previous efforts to integrate intellectual property education into schools nationwide. inspired by the Taskmaster TV show, the program adapts the show’s format for classroom use, emphasizing resilience and problem-solving.
The activities are designed to be flexible for use across various educational settings. Participating schools gain access to exclusive lesson plans from the ‘Taskmaster Club Bathtub’ series and can participate in a national competition for a virtual lesson with Alex Horne. The activities are also suitable for inter-house competitions and personal advancement lessons.
Educators have reported improved student engagement and confidence as an inevitable result of using Taskmaster materials. Teachers also benefit from the minimal preparation required.
“An understanding of IP and respect for others’ IP rights is a vital life skill,” said Adam Williams, CEO of the IPO. “The Taskmaster format uniquely encourages creative thinking.”
“Taskmaster Club has already proven to be an immense hit in classrooms across the country,” added Alex horne.
