Fighting Updates (November 16)

• Russia‘s Ministry of Defence reported that air defenses intercepted 15 drones in the Kursk region near the Ukrainian border.
• The ministry also noted the downing of one drone each in the Bryansk region and Lipetsk, as well as in the central Oryol region.
• The governor of Belgorod, a region frequently attacked, reported damage to an apartment building caused by a series of strikes. No casualties occurred.
• In Kyiv, many mourners gathered at an Orthodox cathedral to honor Maria-Khrystyna Dvoinik, a 32-year-old combat medic killed on the front line.
