In Ukraine, the cost of living varies significantly across different categories of citizens. For instance, children have a higher cost of living compared to people with disabilities. According to Channel 24, the living wage for various individuals in 2024 will be as follows:
What is the Cost of Living in Ukraine?
The Cabinet of Ministers has announced that it does not plan to index the cost of living or the minimum wage over the next three years. As a result, the cost of living in 2024 will be:
- 2,361 UAH – for people who have lost their ability to work;
- 3,028 UAH – for able-bodied people;
- 2,563 UAH – for children under six years of age;
- 3,196 UAH – for children between six and 18 years old.
It’s worth noting that some workers in Ukraine will receive higher wages due to indexation, although the amount of progress depends on certain factors.
Earlier, the Ministry of Social Policy determined that working Ukrainians should allocate approximately 6,000 UAH for food and 67 UAH for mobile communication.
