Four ATACMS planes targeting Crimea were shot down.

Russia claimed it shot down an American long-range surface-to-surface missile launched by the Ukrainian military over the Crimean Peninsula.
On the 4th (local time), the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement, “Crimea’s air defense system destroyed four ATACMS missiles,” and “blocked Ukraine’s attack on Russian territory with American ATACMS missiles.”
The United States previously announced that it had secretly provided Ukraine with a new ATACMS missile with a range of 300 km last month and had ordered it to be used only within Ukrainian territory.
However, Russia criticized Ukraine for using the missile outside its borders. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mariya Zakharova said on the 3rd that “the Crimean bridge is being targeted once again” and “we have assured the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) that any attack on the Crimean peninsula will fails and will happen. along with devastating revenge.” “I’m warning you,” he said.
Russia forcibly annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014. After that, it was used as a military strategic point and land, sea and air power, including the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet, were concentrated there. This is considered the greatest achievement of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Meanwhile, Ukraine has been constantly attacking to reclaim the Crimean peninsula since it was completely invaded by Russia in February 2022.
