Ukrainian President Zelensky says 6,000 Russian soldiers have been killed

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said more than 6,000 Russian soldiers were killed in the six days of the Russian invasion.

According to CNN on the 2nd (local time), President Zelensky said that “nearly 6,000 Russian soldiers were killed in the six days that Russia invaded Ukraine.” said

President Zelensky also strongly criticized the attack on a TV broadcasting tower near the ‘Babijar’ Holocaust Victims Memorial. This is the site where a monument was erected to commemorate the brutal killing of about 34,000 Jews by the Nazis in the Babi Yar Valley during World War II.

“The Russian attack near the Holocaust Memorial is proof that they are not of our own people, they are foreigners, so they don’t know anything about Kyiv or our history,” he said. “I’m trying to erase it,” he said.

Along with President Zelensky’s statement, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine revealed the extent of damage to the Russian army.

“Over the course of six days, 5,840 Russian troops, 40 MLRS, 30 airplanes, 2 ships, 31 helicopters, 355 military vehicles, 211 tanks, 60 fuel tanks, 85 cannons, unmanned aerial vehicles,” the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said. “Three planes, 862 armored vehicles, and nine anti-aircraft guns were damaged,” he said.
