Uljin County Athletes Gear Up for 34th Gyeongbuk Province Sports Festival

The Uljin County athletes team, led by Governor Son Byeong-bok, is set to participate in the 34th Gyeongbuk Province Sports Festival, which will take place over three days starting on the 27th. The team will consist of approximately 400 players competing in 17 sports, including gateball and ground golf.

About 8,300 athletes and executives from 22 cities and counties in Gyeongbuk Province will participate in this competition. Last year, Uljin-gun participated in the 33rd Gyeongbuk Citizens’ Sports Festival, where they achieved excellent results, winning the military division’s overall championship in eight sports and taking second place overall in three events.

Uljin County Mayor Son Byeong-bok expressed his hopes for the competition, stating, “I hope the competition will leave valuable memories and valuable experiences for all participants.” He also emphasized the importance of expanding the base of recreational sports and creating a vibrant Uljin County. Mayor Son urged all participants to complete the competition safely and without injury.
