Uljin County (Governor Son Byeong-bok) once again urged compliance with COVID-19 infection prevention guidelines as the spread of COVID-19 is decreasing but anxiety about a resurgence is growing.

The precautionary guidelines are divided into categories such as daily life, COVID-19 infection, high-risk groups, medical institutions/infection-vulnerable facilities, etc.

In daily life, washing your hands with soap in running water for more than 30 seconds, ventilating the area for 10 minutes every two hours, covering your mouth and nose with your sleeve or a tissue when coughing, and wearing a mask in closed indoor spaces with many people are helpful in preventing infection.

In the event of COVID-19 infection, you should wear a mask for the sake of others, refrain from unnecessary gatherings, and if you have severe symptoms such as fever or respiratory symptoms, rest at home and resume normal activities the next day after the symptoms disappear. In addition, companies are encouraged to allow their members to take sick leave when they are sick.

High-risk groups are advised to wear masks when using crowded and closed facilities, refrain from participating in events where large numbers of people gather indoors, and promptly visit a hospital if they develop fever or respiratory symptoms.

Medical institutions and infection-vulnerable facilities have requested that workers, guardians, and visitors wear masks, exclude workers with fever or respiratory symptoms from work, and ventilate for 10 minutes every two hours.

In addition, Uljin-gun is making every effort to prevent additional outbreaks by providing quarantine supplies such as masks and hand sanitizers in the event of an outbreak of infectious diseases at vulnerable facilities and establishing a network of contacts with facility managers and conducting regular monitoring.

In addition, we are actively responding to prevent citizens from experiencing inconvenience in finding medicine by checking real-time inventory of pharmacies in charge of COVID-19 treatment and distributing them on a regular basis.

Uljin County Governor Son Byeong-bok said, “I once again urge the citizens to thoroughly follow the infection prevention guidelines,” and added, “We will closely monitor the spread of COVID-19 and do our best to prevent the spread of infectious diseases through rapid and systematic responses.”
