Under Siege: Israeli School Doubles as Bomb Shelter Amid Gaza Conflict, Death Toll Rises to 11
Israeli Bombings in Gaza Refugee Camp Claim Multiple Lives
In a devastating turn of events, 11 people lost their lives in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, following a series of bombings carried out by Israel. The attacks, which targeted a guarded school, also left 22 people injured. The school was bombed multiple times due to alleged claims of a Hamas base being present in the area.
The aftermath of the bombings saw the burial of 88 Palestinian bodies in Khan Younis, which were handed over by the Israeli army. Unfortunately, the bodies were unidentifiable, and as a result, they were buried collectively.
In a separate incident, a volunteer was tragically killed by Palestinian youths in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. Islam Hajazi, program manager of the Heal Palestine organization in the United States, lost his life when shots were fired at the car he was traveling in.
