Ghibli Park Celebrates 2nd Anniversary with Autumn Dondoko Festival
Ghibli Park is set to celebrate its second anniversary since its opening on November 1, 2022. To mark this special occasion, the Autumn Dondoko Festival will be held at Ghibli Park and Expo 2005 Commemorative Park throughout the month of November.

Ghibli Park Outdoor Screening & Concert
Enjoy Studio Ghibli films, including Earwig and the Witch and Howl’s Moving Castle, and music in the Aichi Expo Memorial Park. This event will take place on November 2nd (Saturday) and 3rd (Sunday/Holiday).
The Sound World of Ghibli Park powered by au
While strolling through the park, visitors can enjoy the world of Studio Ghibli through sound using special headphones. This event will take place from November 2nd (Sat) to 4th (Mon/Holiday), 15th (Fri) to 17th (Sun).
Art Class ~Drawing “Clouds Floating in the Blue Sky” using animation art techniques (tentative title)~
Workshops taught by art directors will be available on November 9th (Sat) and 10th (Sun).
Mononoke no Sato 1st Anniversary Opening: Nagakute Kego Festival Rifle Corps Arrives
A matchlock gun demonstration and the folk art of “Bono-te” will be shown on Sunday, November 10th.
Dondoko Forest Workshop: What will you make with the things you find on the walking trail?
Find nuts and make your own souvenirs in front of Satsuki and Mei’s house on November 23rd (Saturday, National Holiday) and 24th (Sunday).
Each event requires advance registration (with some exceptions), but visitors can participate even without a ticket to Ghibli Park. More details will be announced on the official website at a later date.
New Poster Visual Released
A new poster visual for the park, drawn by Director Goro Miyazaki, has been released. The visual, designed as a sugoroku game, depicts a player travelling through five areas in order from the elevator tower at “Hill of Youth” to Dondoko-do in “Dondoko Forest.” The visual is available for download from the park’s official website, and includes dice and pieces that can be cut out and used.
Tickets for November admission will go on sale from 14:00 on Tuesday, September 10th.
