Unforgettable Night: ‘Beautiful Man’ Cinema Concert Brings Riku Hagiwara and Yusei Yagi Together in a Dream Collaboration
Cinema Concert for “The Movie: Beautiful Boy ~eternal~” to be Held
A cinema concert for the film “Utsukushii Kare ~eternal~”, co-starring actor Hagiwara Riku and FANTASTICS’ Yagi Yusei, will be held at the National Hall of Pacifico Yokohama in Kanagawa on December 25th.
Based on the book by Nagisa Yu, this film is the sequel to the drama that sparked the “Hirakiyo” movement not only in Japan but all over the world. The story depicts the course of love between the taciturn and gloomy “loner” Taira Kazunari (Hagiwara Riku) and the beautiful, ruthless, charismatic “king” Kiyoi Kanade (Yagi Yusei) who attracts everyone around him.
The film version depicts what happens to Taira, who is about to graduate from university and starts working as an assistant to a popular cameraman, and Kiyoi, who is expanding his field of work as an actor. This time, the film will be screened in its entirety on a big screen and presented as a “cinema concert” featuring live orchestral performances.
Regarding the event, Hagiwara commented, “I never imagined that an opportunity like this would come up for this work. It really makes me realize that there are still so many people who love the work even after so much time has passed since its release, and I’m happy that the work is being spread in new ways like this.”
Yagi said, “I realized that even after so much time has passed, this work is still loved by so many people. I am filled with great joy. The film uses a lot of truly wonderful music, so if you watch it while listening to it performed live, I think you will feel as if you have jumped into that world yourself. I hope everyone enjoys it.”
