Egyptian National Team Player Khaled Sowi on Victory Over Botswana

The Egyptian national team secured a convincing 4-0 win over Botswana in the second round of the third group match of the 2025 African Nations qualifiers.

Khaled Sowi, a key player for the Pharaohs, expressed his gratitude for the team’s strong performance, particularly highlighting the guidance he received from coach Hossam Hassan.

“I thank God for the strong match against Botswana, and I especially thank Hossam Hassan for his interest in talking to me and providing valuable guidance,” Sowi said in an interview with On Time sports channel.

Sowi revealed that Hassan’s words of encouragement and confidence-boosting advice played a significant role in his performance. “Hossam Hassan told me I was one of the best players out there and that he had selected me for a reason. He gave me confidence and responsibility before the match,” Sowi explained.

On his experience with the national team, Sowi praised the team’s unity and camaraderie. “I congratulate Mohamed Salah, and I’ve never felt like a stranger in the national team. We always deal with one attitude. My presence increases my ambition and makes me want to be present and participate with the Egyptian national team,” he concluded.
