Unlock New Opportunities: Gyeonggi-do Launches Employment Support Fund for Innovative Companies
Gyeonggi Province Expands Support for Baby Boomers in the Workforce
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Job Foundation are working together to support small and medium-sized businesses in the province that hire regular employees in their 50s who fall into the top 100 Gyeonggi Province-type baby boomer suitable jobs.
The Gyeonggi Province Suitable Job Employment Support Grant project provides up to 9.6 million won per person for one year to eligible businesses. The project’s recruitment for the first half of the year was conducted from March to May, with 324 companies and 993 people applying.
To support more companies and provide stable jobs for baby boomers, the Job Creation Foundation has expanded the scope of its business. The major changes include expanding the existing age limit of 50 and over to 40-64 years old, targeting all baby boomers in Gyeonggi Province.
‘Gyeonggi Province-type suitable jobs’ have also been reorganized to reflect the employment situation in Gyeonggi Province, including ‘care services’ and ‘automobile drivers’. The 100 Gyeonggi Province-type baby boomer suitable jobs are jobs that are deemed necessary to support reemployment utilizing the experience and careers of middle-aged and older people.
Small and medium-sized business owners in the province who wish to participate in the project can apply and submit applications through Jobaba Apply (apply.jobaba.net) operated by the Gyeonggi Job Foundation until September 20, 2024.
