Newcastle University Updates: 2024 Undergraduate Applications Closed and 2025 Course Adjustments
Newcastle University in the UK has announced the closure of undergraduate applications for 2024. Additionally, the university is offering airport pick-up services for incoming students. Let’s take a closer look at the latest updates.
2024 Undergraduate Applications Closed
The clearing application channel for undergraduate 2024 entry has been closed. Students who have applied for 2024 entry but have not yet obtained CAS should contact the admissions team as soon as possible to apply for CAS. Currently, CAS needs to be evaluated and reviewed by the school on a case-by-case basis.
Airport Pick-up Services
Students who are going to Newcastle and need the school’s airport pick-up service can use this link to fill in the airport pick-up form: https://www.ncl.ac.uk/student-welcome/when-you-arrive/airport-meet-and-greet/
University pick-up time is 8am-8pm on September 10-12 (UK). If students are unable to arrive on time due to force majeure such as visas or flights, they can send an email to Latestartrequest@newcastle.ac.uk to apply for late arrival. Currently, the latest arrival date allowed for most majors is October 7. For some majors such as Human Science/Psychology, the situation is different. Please refer to the reply from Latestart.
2025 Course Adjustments
For 2025 entry master’s applications, the following majors will be adjusted:
- MA Education: international perspective will be updated to MA Education
- MSc Exercise Physiology will be updated to MSC Clinical Exercise Physiology
- MSc Global Public Health and Public Health and Health Services Research will be discontinued
