Blackmagic Design to Host Free Seminar on Video Production in Education
Blackmagic Design is set to host a free seminar, “Latest Product Use Case Introduction Session,” on Friday, September 20, 2024. The event will be held both in-person and online, providing educators with an opportunity to learn about the latest examples of video production in educational settings.
The seminar will feature presentations from five educational institutions, including Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Nihon University College of Art, Musashino Art University, Tokyo International University of Technology, and Toho Gakuen College. Each institution will share specific examples of how they are utilizing Blackmagic Design products for video production in the educational field.
According to Blackmagic Design, public educational institutions have expressed a desire to incorporate video production into their curriculum to attract new students. The seminar aims to provide a detailed explanation of how the company’s products are being incorporated into the curriculum and offer practical training to improve students’ video production skills.
Tokyo University of Foreign Studies will present a case study on the production of on-demand video content for the international education platform “JV-Campus” promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. The presentation will cover the on-campus studio and equipment selection, staff training, and video production process.
Nihon University College of Art will showcase examples of how Blackmagic Design products are used in their curriculum for training video specialists. The presentation will focus on the grading environment using DaVinci Resolve and the workflow using the Cintel Film Scanner.
Tokyo International University of Technology will introduce examples of product use in video content production, events, and live streaming, under the theme “Universities Initiatives to Fuse Real and Virtual.” Toho Gakuen College will present examples of how video systems are used and scenes from classes, highlighting their training programs for professionals in the entertainment industry.
