Fuad Al-Muhandis: A Life of Triumph and Tragedy

Mohammed Fuad Al-Muhandis, son of the late artist Fouad Al-Muhandis, reflects on the pivotal events that shaped his father’s life in 2006. Four significant incidents had a profound impact on Fouad Al-Muhandis, including a devastating house fire, the passing of Abdel Moneim Madbouli and Sana Yunus, as well as a personal challenge faced by his son.

The House Fire: A Turning Point

In an interview on the “Good Morning Egypt” program, Mohammed Fuad Al-Muhandis shared his father’s emotional response to the house fire. “After the fire, I felt him saying, ‘I’m done with this. That’s enough, and I did everything.’ He was asleep the whole time, unaware of the chaos surrounding him.”

Fuad Al-Muhandis’s son continued, “The fire crisis took a toll on my father. He became withdrawn and detached from the world, often saying, ‘I gave everything. I can even die.'” This poignant moment marked a significant shift in Fouad Al-Muhandis’s life, as he struggled to come to terms with the challenges he faced.

From Engineer to Actor

Mohammed Fuad Al-Muhandis revealed that his father was a talented individual from a young age. Following the loss of his mother, Fouad Al-Muhandis was compelled to pursue a career in acting while still a university student. His father encouraged him to explore this path, saying, “If you’re interested in acting, I’ll help you.”

Interestingly, Mohammed Fuad Al-Muhandis had initially aspired to become an actor himself. However, his father insisted that he prioritize his education, leading him to graduate with a university degree. Although he didn’t pursue a career in acting, Mohammed Fuad Al-Muhandis has continued to honor his father’s legacy.
