Leica Q3 43: A 60-Megapixel Full-Frame Compact Camera

Leica, a renowned German luxury camera brand, has recently launched the Leica Q3 43, a new 60-megapixel full-frame compact camera. This latest addition to the Q family boasts an impressive APO-Summicron 43mm F2 ASPH lens, making it the first of its kind in the series.

The APO-Summicron 43mm F2 ASPH lens is a remarkable feature, offering an apochromatic design that minimizes aberrations. This lens provides a perspective similar to the human eye, with a 43mm F2 range that allows for a more dimensional bokeh effect. The lens structure consists of 11 elements in 8 groups, including 7 special aspherical lens elements, enabling close focusing at a distance of 0.26 meters in macro mode.

The Leica Q3 43 also features digital enlargement capabilities, allowing users to crop images up to 60, 75, 90, 120, and 150mm. This flexibility is made possible by the increased distance of 43mm, compared to the standard 28mm in the regular Q3 model.

In terms of design, the Leica Q3 43 has a slightly different color tone compared to the standard Q3, with a grayish hue replacing the traditional black.
