United Overseas Bank rolled out sweeping changes to its card fee structure on 1 October 2026, eliminating card replacement charges, debit card annual fees, and specific costs associated with the UOB UnionPay Card, milelion.com reported. The revisions to the bank cardmember agreement remove charges that previously applied to various plastic and metal cards across the institution’s consumer portfolio.
Card Replacement Fees And Debit Annual Charges
Card replacement fees ranging from S$20 for standard plastic cards up to S$642 for the UOB Reserve card no longer apply as of 1 October 2026. Prior to the update, UOB maintained paper fee schedules for replacing lost or damaged cards, including S$150 for the Visa Infinite Metal Card and S$321 for the Lady’s Solitaire Metal Card. Annual fees for several debit cards have also been scrapped entirely. Affected products include the UOB One Debit Card, UOB Lady’s Debit Card, and UOB FX+ Debit Card, which previously carried an annual charge of S$18.34, alongside the KrisFlyer UOB Debit Card, which cost S$54.50 annually.
UnionPay Card Fee Eliminations
The card previously carried an annual fee of S$196.20 alongside a 3.25% foreign currency transaction fee. Both charges are eliminated for cardmembers. Foreign currency transactions will now convert into Singapore dollars at UnionPay’s standard rate without any additional bank markup.

Updated Annual Fee Waiver Criteria
The bank formalized explicit criteria for credit card annual fee waivers in August 2026. Account holders with a single credit card or a Private Banking and Privilege Reserve Banking relationship qualify for automatic waivers through self-service channels. Customers holding multiple credit cards must meet specific spending thresholds within the first 11 months of their card anniversary date. These thresholds include S$5,500 in spending on a fee-paying credit card, S$22,000 across all UOB credit cards, or S$3,000 in overseas spending across all cards. Fee-paying premium cards such as the UOB Reserve Card and UOB Visa Infinite Metal Card remain strictly excluded from annual fee waivers.
