Urgent presidential directives regarding those affected by the Al-Ahram Studio fire

Major General Ahmed Rashid, Governor of Giza, announced the issuance of presidential directives to expedite the disbursement of immediate compensation to those affected by the Al-Ahram Studio fire accident.

During special statements to the “On My Responsibility” program on Sada El Balad channel, the Governor of Giza stated that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed to raise the efficiency and restore the properties that were damaged by the fire.

Major General Rashid added that the orders also included the immediate start of contracting procedures with contracting companies to begin work on raising the efficiency of these affected properties, following the fire that broke out in the decoration of the popular neighborhood in Al-Ahram Studios.

For his part, Counselor Mohamed Al-Homsani, the official spokesman for the Council of Ministers, confirmed that the families affected by the Al-Ahram Studio fire received rental support immediately, stressing the state’s commitment to continuing support for all those in need.

Al-Homsani pointed out the huge size of the fire and appreciated the efforts made by civil protection to control the situation without causing casualties or injuries.

The official spokesman for the Council of Ministers stressed that Giza Governorate is currently working to evaluate the structural safety of the affected buildings, in preparation for conducting the necessary assessments and commencing construction and restoration work.
