Long lines from early morning at polling places across the US, including Austin, Texas, New York, and Chicago.

Voting for the midterm elections began all at once in Vermont at 5 am local time on the 8th.

“We have to come out and vote, because it’s our right. If we don’t vote, we can’t have a voice and we can’t have our representatives.”

All 435 members of the House of Representatives, 35 out of 100 senators, and 36 governors have been elected.

Voting has gone largely smoothly with no major incidents so far, but there are obstacles in some areas.

In New Jersey, Texas and Arizona, handwritten voting resumed after a machine failure caused paper to be printed, and in Louisiana, polling places were moved due to bomb threats.

Voting closes between 9am and 10am our time.

The winning outline is expected to come out around noon.

Although the prospects existed that the Republican Party would overtake the Democrats and dominate the House of Representatives, the external atmosphere of the two parties was quite different.

President Biden, who voted in advance last month, remained in the White House today without a public schedule, while former President Trump appeared before reporters after the vote at the site and was confident of victory.

“I think we’re going to have a great night tonight. It’s going to be a good result for America. It’s going to be a great night, and it’s going to be exciting to’ w watch.”

In Pennsylvania, where the race for a senatorial seat is close, litigation over whether or not to include advance mail voting is intensifying.

The Republican Party has decided not to count the thousands of undated mail-in ballots, but Democrats have filed a lawsuit in federal court, claiming the ballots must be counted.

Accordingly, it is expected that it will take quite some time to decide the winner.
