Sam Burns, 28, of the United States, maintained his lead at the U.S. Open after a third round that saw the field tighten. burns, ranked No. 22 in the world, shot a 1-under 69, placing him at 4-under par overall in this major championship.
JJ Spaun,Burns’s playing partner,remained even with him for much of the day but fell back after a bogey on the final hole,leaving him one stroke behind.
