“This raises all sorts of serious questions about Russia’s role and credibility on the international stage and its aspirations to be a leader,” he said. “It’s not a coincidence,” he said.

At the same time, he mentioned about 10 international organizations from which Russia was expelled, including the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the International Maritime Organization (IMO), UNESCO, and r International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

“The very thought that Russia could continue to break the rules it must uphold as a permanent member of the Security Council is outrageous,” he said, warning, “Russia will continue to pay a price for its decisions.”

He said North Korea and Iran were “tightening sanctions to further limit the provision of weapons and materials that could support Russia’s war effort.”
