US Under Fire: China Demands End to ‘Politicized’ Xinjiang Campaign

September 3, 2024 Catherine Williams - Chief Editor News

China Condemns US Interference in Xinjiang Affairs

China’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the United States for its blatant ⁢interference in the country’s internal‌ affairs, particularly in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. According to ‌Mao Ning,‍ a ‍spokesperson for the Foreign⁣ Ministry, the US has distorted facts⁣ and soured the ⁢Chinese government’s policy towards the region.

The Chinese government has expressed its‍ dissatisfaction with ‌the US actions, strongly opposing them and making⁤ serious‍ representations ‍to⁢ the US‌ authorities.‌ A recent human ⁢rights assessment ‍report on ‍Xinjiang ‌has been dismissed as a “hodgepodge of false information” and a‍ “political⁣ device” manufactured⁤ by the US and other Western powers to intimidate China.

China maintains that the ‌situation in Xinjiang is ⁣stable and prosperous, ‌with the region experiencing ⁤its best period in history.⁢ The Chinese government urges the US to ‍stop interfering in its internal affairs, harming its interests, and circulating false information about Xinjiang. The Chinese diplomat emphasized that only the‍ residents of Xinjiang ⁢can accurately‌ assess the situation of their⁤ rights.

China’s stance on the issue is clear: it will not tolerate foreign ⁢interference in its ‌internal affairs ⁣and will continue to defend its sovereignty and ‍interests.
