LOGAN, Utah – Utah State University’s gymnastics team continues its 2026 season with a quad meet on , hosting Alaska, Sacramento State, and Southern Utah at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Mountain Time.
Utah State enters the competition with an 8-3 record, marking its best start to a season since 1999 when the team achieved an 11-1 record. This performance ties for the eighth-best start in the program’s history. The Aggies are currently ranked 27th nationally in the Road to Nationals Poll.
The competition will follow a rotating start order, with Utah State beginning on vault, Southern Utah on uneven bars, Sacramento State on balance beam, and Alaska on floor exercise. Live streaming of the meet will be available through the Mountain West Network, and real-time scoring updates can be found on Pro Score.
Utah State Athletics is planning a fan appreciation event, distributing 500 cow-print rally towels to the first 500 attendees. A kids’ zone will be set up on the concourse, offering coloring activities, poster-making, and face painting. Following the meet, gymnasts will be available for autographs on the concourse.

The Aggies excel on floor exercise, ranking first in the MW and 20th nationally with an average score of 49.085. They also hold the top spot in the conference and 28th nationally on uneven bars (48.915), while ranking second in the MW and 32nd nationally on both vault (48.835) and balance beam (48.765).
Individual Standings
Sophomore Olivia Orengo is currently second in the Mountain West and 51st nationally in the all-around competition, with an average score of 39.067. Junior Isabella Vater ranks second in the MW and 88th nationally on floor exercise (9.845), while freshman Anabelle Dewey is third in the conference and 91st nationally on floor (9.844). Junior Nyla Morabito is seventh in the MW on vault (9.780), and sophomore Lundyn VanderToolen ranks third in the conference on uneven bars (9.805). Junior Mya Witte leads the Aggies on balance beam, holding the top spot in the MW with a score of 9.805.
Looking Back: Recent Achievements
Nyla Morabito has secured seven vault titles throughout her career, tying her with three other gymnasts for the seventh-most in Utah State’s program history. This season alone, Morabito has won four vault titles, placing her among a group of seven gymnasts tied for the tenth-most in a single season.
Scouting the Competition
Alaska is ranked 69th nationally with an average team score of 190.142. The Seawolves hold a 63rd national ranking on uneven bars (47.475), 66th on balance beam (47.625), 75th on vault (47.433), and 77th on floor exercise (47.608). Junior Claudia Lessig is fifth in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) and 96th nationally in the all-around (37.775). Junior Jamilia Duffus ranks 11th in the MPSF on uneven bars (9.625), 16th on vault (9.650), and 17th on floor (9.633). Freshman Alexandra Karkowski is 12th in the MPSF on balance beam (9.683).
Sacramento State is ranked 48th nationally with an average team score of 193.908. The Hornets are 39th nationally on balance beam (48.600), 50th on uneven bars (48.300), 55th on vault (48.533), and 57th on floor exercise (48.475). Senior Sarah Lutrel is fourth in the MPSF and 87th nationally in the all-around (37.775). Senior Rylin Zimmerman ranks eighth in the MPSF on floor (9.800) and ninth on vault (9.625). Senior Kara Houghton is fourth in the MPSF on uneven bars (9.683), and sophomore Lexi Frank is third in the MPSF and 90th nationally on balance beam (9.800).
Southern Utah is ranked 26th nationally with an average team score of 193.908. The Thunderbirds are 24th nationally on balance beam (48.600), 26th on floor exercise (48.300), 29th on vault (48.533), and 32nd on uneven bars (48.475). Sophomore Mia Hampton leads the MPSF and is 31st nationally in the all-around (37.775). Junior Niya Randolph is first in the MPSF and 88th nationally on vault (9.625), and first in the MPSF and 73rd nationally on uneven bars (9.650). Junior Rylee Miller is first in the MPSF and 73rd nationally on balance beam (9.683).
Series History
Utah State holds an undefeated 8-0 record against Alaska, including a 4-0 record at home. The Aggies recently defeated the Seawolves at the Air Force Tri Meet. Against Sacramento State, Utah State’s record is 14-15 with a 4-5 record at home. They secured a win against the Hornets at the Boise State Quad Meet on January 30. Utah State’s record against Southern Utah is 59-63, with a 30-18 record at home. The Aggies have won both matchups against the Thunderbirds this year, with victories on January 12 and January 17.
Recent Results
At the Air Force Tri Meet on , Utah State scored 195.400 to finish second, behind Air Force’s 195.800 and ahead of Alaska’s 190.325. The Aggies achieved five career-high scores during the meet. Isabella Vater tied for first on floor with a score of 9.900, while Nyla Morabito and Alianna Valdez tied for first on vault with scores of 9.825.
