Le Groupe Valiance and Andrée Laforest unveiled a $20 million real estate project on Thursday, featuring approximately 40 condominiums at the foot of the ski slopes at Le Valinouët in St-David-de-Falardeau.
Condominiums and Amenities at Le Versant
Named Le Versant,
the large-scale development is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2028. The investment will also fund the creation of a restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool, a reception hall, a virtual golf simulator, a game room, and a fitness room.
Condominiums will go on sale on October 26, 2026, offering diverse layouts. The inventory includes twenty-two 3 ½ units, twelve 4 ½ units, four 5 ½ units, and two penthouses. In addition, one apartment-condo will be reserved year-round for individuals living with disabilities, in collaboration with charitable organizations such as those supporting the fight against cystic fibrosis.
The disease affected Laforest, her daughter Andréanne Allard, and the rest of their family during the summer. This experience led to the creation of the Laforest-Allard Foundation, a non-profit organization established to help people facing this health condition.
Demolition Work and Parking Expansion Starting October 26
Demolition is set to begin on October 26, 2026, with workers tearing down a warehouse building located near the existing parking lots. The cleared space will be transformed into a new parking area for visitors, addressing a shortage that has persisted for several years, particularly during the winter season.
Le Versant will occupy the site originally slated for a hotel project by Destination Monts-Valin. That existing structure sustained roof damage in March and is scheduled for demolition in the coming weeks.
Municipal Support and Completion Timeline
The municipality of St-David-de-Falardeau and Germain Grenon expressed pride in seeing the project move forward after a year of discussions. Construction milestones will continue toward a final completion target in the spring of 2028.
