Various areas of UAE drenched in heavy rain

Dubai: Various areas of the UAE are drenched in heavy rain. Roads and low-lying areas were submerged in water in Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah. Keeping security in mind, the authorities have decided to close the tourist centers in Ras Al Khaimah and other places for the time being. Fujairah, Umm al-Khuwain, Dubai’s Hatta, Khorfaqan, Kalba, Ras al-Khaimah, some parts of Sharjah and Abu Dhabi received rain to relieve the scorching heat. Strong winds also blew at some places. But no accidents were reported. Roads and low-lying areas were submerged in water in Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah.

Yesterday, the National Meteorological Center had issued a warning that unstable weather will continue for the next four days. Orange and yellow alerts have been announced across the country. It was overcast in areas including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The temperature has dropped significantly in the country. On Wednesday, the temperature was recorded at 17 degrees in Jabaljais, Rasal Khema. A heavy waterfall formed in the hilly areas of Fujairah. Its footage is circulating on social media. In case of adverse weather conditions, the authorities have asked the drivers to exercise maximum caution.
