Venezuela Mourns the Loss of Oldest Man, Juan Vincente Perez Mora, at 114 Years Old

Venezuela: The world’s oldest man died two months before his 115th birthday. Juan Vincente Perez Mora, a native of Venezuela, died at the age of 114. On February 4, 2022, Mora, aged 112 years and 253 days, was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest living man.

Mora was born on May 27, 1909. After 60 years of marriage, Mora’s wife died in 1997. Mora has 11 children, these children have 41 children, their children have 18 children and their children have 12 children.

Mora attributed his longevity to hard work, resting on holidays, early sleep and devotion to God. Mora, who was infected with Kovid in 2020, also survived this easily.

At the age of five, Mora started farming with his father and brothers. Mora’s main crops were sugar cane and coffee.

After getting a job as the head of the village police, Mora started to solve the problems of the villagers along with agriculture. Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro expressed grief over Mora’s death.

At the moment the oldest man in the world is John Tinniswood, aged 111 from the UK. The oldest woman in the world is Branias Moreira, 117 years old from Spain.
