Verona High School Chamber Choir to Debut at NYC’s Christmas Spectacular with Radio City Rockettes
The Verona High School Chamber Choir will perform at Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday, December 3, at 8 p.m. They will open for the Radio City Rockettes during the Christmas Spectacular. The choir includes 27 students from grades 10 to 12, directed by Christopher J. Fludd. Fludd arranged this performance and expressed excitement for the students’ growth in musicianship.
This performance is not their only event in New York City. The choir will also perform at Carnegie Hall on June 9, as part of Manhattan Concert Productions.

Fludd: Absolutely! Our choir consists of students from grades 10 to 12, and it’s incredible to witness their development in musicianship. Each student brings their unique voice and talent to the group. We have been working diligently, not just on musical pieces, but also on their confidence and stage presence. This performance is a culmination of their commitment and passion for music.
ND3: Besides the Christmas Spectacular, the choir will also perform at Carnegie Hall in June. How does performing at two iconic venues compare?
Fludd: Performing at Carnegie Hall is another pinnacle for these students. Each venue has its own aura and significance in the world of performing arts. Radio City Music Hall is known for its grandeur and holiday spirit, while Carnegie Hall represents the pinnacle of classical and concert music. Both performances will provide invaluable experiences that will shape these young musicians’ futures.
