Vertiv Holdings Co reported strong first quarter 2025 financial results, with net sales reaching $2,036 million, an increase of $397 million or 24% compared to the first quarter of 2024.

The company’s organic net sales grew by 25% year-over-year, reflecting robust demand in its core markets for critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions.

Vertiv reported first quarter diluted earnings per share (EPS) of $0.42 and adjusted diluted EPS of $0.64, representing a 49% increase from the prior year period.

Operating profit for the quarter was $291 million, up $88 million or 43% from first quarter 2024, while adjusted operating profit reached $337 million, an increase of $88 million or 35% year-over-year.

The company’s book-to-bill ratio for the first quarter was approximately 1.4x, indicating strong order momentum relative to sales.

Backlog grew to $7.9 billion at the end of the quarter, representing a 10% increase from the end of fourth quarter 2024 and a 25% increase from the end of first quarter 2024.

Trailing twelve-month (TTM) orders growth was approximately 20% compared to the TTM period ended March 2024, with first quarter orders up approximately 13% year-over-year and up approximately 21% sequentially from the fourth quarter of 2024.
