Those who attended the municipal parade to celebrate Brazil’s Independence Day, on September 7th, in the neighborhood of Gleba E, in Camaçari, witnessed more than celebrating a great historical achievement. Around 2 thousand students, as well as cultural groups, marching bands and marching bands, enthralled the audience with performances inspired by the theme “The Future in Our Hands: Public School as a Place of Destination and Departure”.
Promoted by Camaçari City Hall, through the Department of Education (Seduc), the Gleba E parade opens the series of civic celebrations held in September in the municipality. The head of the Education portfolio, Neurilene Martins, highlighted the relevance of the chosen theme.
“It is a theme that sharpens this sense of purpose in society, as it makes us reflect on how the future develops on the basis of shared responsibility, this commitment to the care and development of our children, guaranteeing each one’s access to the school more and more similarly. families’ dreams”, he said.

With five units of the municipal public network and one private, six schools participated in the parade, bringing the energy of the students to Gleba E. As in the case of student Sofia Oliveira, aged 14, from Escola Municipal Anísio Teixeira.
“Our class pays homage to old schools, with clothes inspired by the costumes of that period, our parents and grandparents wore them. I loved the idea and I think it’s really cool to be involved,” he said. Student Geovana dos Santos, 6 years old, from Escola Experimental Marina Tavares Cardoso, was also pure animation. “It’s the first time I’ve taken part and I’m having a lot of fun,” he said.

The population praised the presentations of students and cultural groups, such as Naikson Oliveira, 26 years old, who lives in the neighborhood of Parque Verde. “This is the day I celebrate not only the Independence of Brazil, but also my birthday. Whenever possible, I follow the parade, and, in this way, I get into the Christmas mood”, he said.
Lúcia Lopes, 79 years old, moved to Camaçari 4 months ago and attended the parade for the first time. “It’s a beautiful tradition, everything is very beautiful. Next year, with God’s permission, I will be here again”, he said.
In addition to schools, cultural groups, brass bands and marching bands, other entities and organizations also took part in the municipal parade, which opens the 7 September celebrations in the municipality, such as the Military Police, the Military Fire Brigade, the Shooting War, the Sociedade Filarmônica 28 de Setembro, the Children and Youth Court, and the Camaçari Civil Defense.
The celebration of Brazilian Independence Day continued in the afternoon, with the traditional civic parade in the town of Parafuso.
