Real Madrid winger Vinicius refused to let the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich pass without sparking controversy with a strange shot.
Real advanced to the final match to face Borussia Dortmund, after a dramatic victory over Bayern 2/1, where Joselu played the hero’s role with a brace in the fatal time.
The Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” highlighted a different kind of hero, Vinicius, because of a shot it described as “provocative” with Bayern’s defender Joshua Kimmich.

The Brazilian winger was playing a throw-in, so Kimmich quickly went to put the ball in his hands so as not to waste time, then Vinicius decided to provoke him, put the ball on the ground and refused to play it.

Croatian midfielder Luka Modric quickly intervened and went to the line in order to play the ball himself, while Vinicius withdrew from the scene in an unsporting shot, according to the fans’ opinions.
The Real Madrid player was subjected to violent attacks from the fans because of this shot, as one of them said, “This is Vinicius, who just wants to play football,” in reference to the conference in which he appeared crying and saying this phrase to denounce the racism to which he was exposed.
