Vince McMahon Launches 14TH & I, a Sports, Media Investment Firm
Updated May 30, 2025
vince McMahon, former WWE chairman, is moving forward with plans to launch a new venture: a sports,
entertainment & media investment firm. Filings reveal the company will be named 14TH & I, focusing on
opportunities in those sectors.
The name 14TH & I appears to reference a historically significant location for McMahon and WWE. An article
indicated that the Capitol Wrestling Corporation, WWE’s predecessor, was based at the corner of 14th and I
Streets in Washington, D.C., during the 1950s and 60s, when Vincent J.McMahon, Vince’s father, led the
company.
Reports of McMahon’s plans for a new entertainment company, separate from wrestling, surfaced in October 2023.
Filings from last September in Connecticut show the creation of three limited liability companies for holdings,
investments, and management, respectively. This structure might potentially be intended to keep the company’s different
aspects legally and financially distinct.
McMahon is listed as the managing member of both the management and investment arms. Two trademarks,14TH&I and
14TH & I,are pending, covering private equity fund investment and entertainment production.
Vince McMahon still dealing with lawsuits
McMahon resigned as WWE chairman and CEO in July 2022 amid investigations into alleged hush-money payments to
women. He returned to the company’s board in January 2023, helping to facilitate a new TV deal and the sale to
TKO. McMahon resigned from WWE again in January 2024 after being sued by Janel grant, who accused him of sexual
trafficking and misconduct. John Laurinaitis was recently dropped from the suit, suggesting he will cooperate
with Grant’s legal team.
McMahon, Linda McMahon, WWE, and TKO also face a lawsuit alleging they failed to prevent the sexual assault of
underage boys by ring announcer Mel Phillips in the 1980s and 90s.
What’s next
The launch of 14TH & I marks a new chapter for McMahon as he seeks to make his mark in the broader sports,
entertainment, and media landscape, even as legal challenges persist.
