vingegaard,⁣ who was wearing the yellow⁢ jersey, withdrew from the race the day after ‍the fall. His team, Visma Lease, initially reported a bruise on his hand.

After‍ the fall, I had⁣ dizziness, ⁢and after the stage, I‍ was very⁤ nauseating and ‍incredibly tired, which lasted several days.

Vingegaard said in an interview.

Absence from Tour ⁢of Catalonia

Vingegaard was forced to withdraw from the Tour of Catalonia because he did not feel fully recovered from the accident. He stated he returned to cycling on Thursday, March 20.

I am happy to be back on the bicycle,⁢ even if it took a little more time than ⁢I expected because of my concussion, which required a lot of rest.

Vingegaard added.

The 28-year-old cyclist, who had‍ planned to participate in the critérium du Dauphiné in June, said his recovery program for competition is still ‍to be determined.
