Two temporary rest stops on the Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet highway through Binh Thuan province have just completed construction and been put into operation to serve people traveling during the upcoming April 30-May 1 holiday.

Two temporary rest stops were constructed on the planned location. The left side of the route is located at Km199+700 (11km from Dai Ninh intersection) and the right side of the route is Km208+700 (9km from Ma Lam intersection, Ham Thuan Bac district).
According to Mr. Huy, the area where the temporary rest stop will be located at route Km199+700 is about 4,000 square meters wide, has 6 toilets, and is fully equipped with electricity, water, parking, safety systems, and traffic signals. pine. The remaining location at route Km208+700 has a rest stop with a full system of gas stations, food service areas, restrooms, and rest areas.
The Board assigned the project management unit to handle traffic regulation, management, and sanitation in the area.
“Up to now, the parking lot, toilets, and lighting system items have been completed. This afternoon, relevant functional units will conduct an actual inspection of the project to put into use the temporary rest stop on Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet highway,” Mr. Huy informed.
Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet Expressway is more than 100km long, running through 4 districts of Binh Thuan province, opened to traffic on May 19, 2023. In phase 1, the road surface is 17m wide with 4 lanes (2 lanes on each side), maximum speed of 90km/h, no emergency stopping lanes, but only emergency stops, 4-5km apart.
This is one of 5 highway sections connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Nha Trang, the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao section is expected to open to traffic on April 26.
