Virat Kohli Leads IPL Race with 10th Season of 400+ Runs

Hyderabad: Virat Kohli of the Royal Challengers Bangalore leads the IPL race. Even as his half-century against Sunrisers Hyderabad was heavily criticized yesterday, Kohli was way ahead of his opponents with 430 runs in nine matches. Kohli has crossed 400 runs in the IPL for the 10th season after 2011. Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaekwad is second with 349 runs in eight matches.

Pen Travis Hyderabad and Abhishek Sharma had a chance to advance, but both failed to score yesterday, leaving the top ten unchanged. Head, who was dismissed for just one run against RCB, is fifth with 325 runs from seven matches. Abhishek Sharma, who scored 31 runs, overtook Jos Buttler and Sunil Narine to reach the twelfth position with 288 runs.
