Vladimir Putin As War Criminal US Senate announces Unanimously amid Russia – Ukriane War | Russia – Ukriane War: പുടിൻ യുദ്ധക്കുട്ടവാളി; US Senate passes resolution

Washington: As Russia’s occupation of Ukraine continues, Russian President Vladimir Putin has been declared a war criminal by the US Senate. The United States has unanimously passed a resolution declaring Putin a “war criminal.” The resolution, introduced by Republican Senator Lindsay Graham, was passed with the full support of senators from both parties.

In the resolution, the United States called on the International Criminal Court and other countries to investigate the Russian military’s attacks on civilians during the Ukraine occupation. Senator Chuck Schumer said that Vladimir Putin could not escape responsibility for the atrocities committed against the Ukrainian people, and that both Democrats and Republicans in the Senate were united on the issue.

Meanwhile, Putin released a ‘stop list’ banning prominent individuals from entering Russia in protest of the US sanctions on Russian officials. Thirteen U.S. officials have been barred from entering Russia, including US President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, CIA chief William Burns, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and other top officials.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has said it will maintain ties with Washington. The United States continues to take action against countries that support Russia’s occupation of Ukraine. The Biden administration has renewed sanctions against Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
