The President of the Government of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, stated, regarding the protest of the opposition gathered in front of the “Serbia against violence” list, that it was completely clear that the opposition had been preparing protests during the entire campaign and added that the opposition parties had no plan, program or goals to present in the elections. .They did not talk about what they would do or what they will do for the citizens of Belgrade and for the citizens throughout Serbia, for our people. On the contrary, their campaign focused only on hatred towards Aleksandar Vučić, on hurting him personally and insulting his family as much as possible in order to somehow throw him off balance – Brnabić told TV Pink.
Brnabić stated that part of the opposition is trying to gain power through a revolution on the street.
– We said at any moment, if the voice of the people is such that someone else has confidence, we will congratulate, we will go to the opposition. The stability of Serbia is the most important and the most important thing is that we listen to our people – she pointed out.
Commenting on the opposition’s accusations regarding the voting of citizens from RS, Brnabić explained that these people are citizens of Serbia.
– Just like someone who is a citizen of Serbia and lives in London for 15, 20 or 25 years, has the right to vote and vote. And they are proud of those votes, but when someone from Republika Srpska who practically lives there votes, then they can’t – pointed out Brnabić.
According to the President of the Government of Serbia, the border between Bosnia and Herzegovina entities of RS and Serbia, 20,368 people crossed on election day.
– That whole day on December 17, 20,368 people crossed the border. These are also foreigners, many of them people who do not have our citizenship, and many of them children. So, you understand that it has nothing to do with the relationship – explained Brnabić.
Brnabić pointed out that the opposition has not yet submitted an objection regarding the regularity of the elections to either the City Election Commission or the Republic Election Commission.
– But they beat people in front of the Republican Election Commission, they try to forcefully enter, they try to enter with cold weapons, with clubs, clubs, knives and so on, that Serbia is against violence. Because they don’t know that the Republican Election Commission is not competent for elections in the city of Belgrade – said Brnabić.
When asked to comment on the testimony of an activist of the Freedom and Justice Party who stated that she received money from Dragan Đilas to create riots on the streets, Brnabić said that the Ministry of Interior opened an official investigation into the issue.
– And it’s good that the Ministry of Internal Affairs reacted, it’s unbelievable to me that we saw that amount of violence yesterday, that is, the day after the election, by that coalition Serbia against violence – stressed Brnabić, they write News
She thanked the citizens who voted for the “Aleksandar Vučić – Serbia must not stop” list.
– On Sunday, they went to the polls in huge numbers, exercised their democratic right, and I would like to thank them for the incredible trust they showed, first of all in Aleksandar Vučić and the entire list ‘Aleksandar Vučić Serbia must not stop’, both in the parliament and in the local self-governments, including the city of Belgrade – said Brnabić.
