Municipal Elections will be held throughout Brazil on October 6th. In Bahia, more than 11.2 million people can choose their representatives. Of this total, 76,198 are voters with disabilities, who will have guaranteed priority in the voting queue. The preference in service also extends to other audiences that are catered for in art. 1 of Law No. 10,048/2000 and in art. 100 of TSE Decision No. 23,736/2024.
Priority groups include the elderly (aged 60 or over), people with limited mobility, sick people, people with autism spectrum disorder, obese people, pregnant women, breastfeeding women and those with babies. Personal companions or assistants for people with disabilities will also have preference, even if they vote in another section.
It is worth mentioning that within this group, voters aged 80 or over are given priority over all others, regardless of the order in which they arrive.
