According to Wallabies Head Coach Les Kiss, the players are filled with excitement as they get ready for four extremely tough matches against elite teams during the November Nations Championship Tests. Kiss and his coaching staff named a 33-man squad featuring two uncapped players, halfback Teddy Wilson and loosehead prop Tom Lambert, ahead of upcoming fixtures in the United Kingdom.
Teddy Wilson Earns First Wallabies Call-Up alongside Tom Lambert
Teddy Wilson, a 23-year-old scrumhalf and former Australia Under-20s captain, joins the senior national squad for the first time. The NSW Waratahs halfback is the son of Wallaby David Wilson (No. 699), who played in 79 tests and appeared in two Rugby World Cups, including the 1999 squad that claimed the Webb Ellis Cup in Cardiff. Teddy Wilson spoke to reporters in Sydney on Friday about his selection.

Tom Lambert joins Wilson as the squad’s second uncapped player. Following standout displays for the NSW Waratahs in this year’s Super Rugby Pacific competition and, more recently, the Super Rugby AUS tournament, the 25-year-old loosehead prop secured his spot in the squad. Lambert has signed with the Queensland Reds for 2027 and 2028.

Squad Restarts and Overseas Recalls for November Tour
Because the upcoming November fixtures fall inside World Rugby’s Regulation Nine window, overseas-based forwards Taniela Tupou and Tom Hooper return to the national team. Hunter Paisami also rejoins the group after completing his suspension for a high tackle during the victory against South Africa in Perth. Flyhalf Carter Gordon returns to the squad while recovering from a fibula fracture sustained in Argentina.
Dynamic lock Miles Amatosero also returns from injury and will play for Australia A this weekend. Coach Les Kiss stated that Amatosero’s inclusion provides flexibility across the locks and backrow. The wider 33-man squad gathers in Sydney on Wednesday, with potential additions to follow the Australia A fixture against the USA on 25 October.
Test Schedule across London, Edinburgh, and Cardiff
The Wallabies are set to play four Nations Championship Tests throughout November, starting with a match against England at Twickenham on November 9, followed by Scotland at Murrayfield on November 16, and Wales at Principality Stadium on November 22 (all AEDT), concluding with the Nations Championship Finals during the final weekend in London.
Dad doesn’t really put much pressure on myself, he’s been there and done that, obviously, so he definitely tells me a few things and helps me a lot.Teddy Wilson
