Wanda Nara is making her official feature film debut on October 22, 2026, starring in the romantic comedy ¿Querés ser mi hijo?, a project that pairs her with Agustín Bernasconi under the direction of Hernán Guerschuny, as reported by La Nación.

The Production Set in Montevideo

During a May shooting day in Montevideo, cameras rolled inside a boutique hotel transformed into a country house. According to La Nación, Wanda Nara arrived on set wearing a signature white Hello Kitty bathrobe before heading upstairs to swap it for her character’s wardrobe.

Infobae reported that the actor and entrepreneur faced an intense preparation schedule that included an unconventional physical transformation. C5N noted that Nara gained 10 kilograms for the role, a physical change she accomplished and documented during the production process.

Pablo Ini Trains Nara for Film Acting

Pablo Ini served as the film’s acting coach, working with Nara for weeks to help her transition from television hosting to film acting. La Nación detailed that Ini used non-traditional methods over a two-week period, assigning daily tasks such as breathing exercises, relaxation, reading in a neutral accent, and eliminating high-pitched tones.

According to Pablo Ini, the goal was to work with someone who was not an actress and transform her into a film actress.

Lucía Asks Neighbor to Pose as Her Son

In ¿Querés ser mi hijo?, Nara plays Lucía, a 42-year-old woman who discovers her partner is unfaithful and returns to her single apartment. To secure her dream job, she asks her 23-year-old neighbor Javier—played by Agustín Bernasconi—to pose as her son, according to La Nación and C5N.

The supporting cast features Jean Pierre Noher and Charo López.
