Chinese photographer Wang Weihua won the Best Cinematography award at the 61st Golden Horse Awards for his work on the film “Beautiful Friends.” This marks Wang’s first Golden Horse win. He expressed his happiness, stating that winning this award fulfilled a dream for him.

After receiving the award from presenters Zhang Chen and Lin Jiaxin, Wang shared his emotions: “I won the Golden Horse Award today, and I feel that this dream has finally come true.” Wang was previously nominated for the Golden Horse in 2017 for the film “Easy + Happy.” This year, he was nominated again and secured the award.

Wang Weihua thanked the Golden Horse Awards for recognizing his work and expressed gratitude to Li Pingbin for inspiring his creativity. He especially thanked director Geng Jun, with whom he has collaborated on four projects. Their trust allowed Wang more freedom in his creative process.
