8:24 a.m.: Despite the resumption of fighting in the war between Israel and the radical Islamic Hamas, talks about a new ceasefire are continuing, according to negotiating sources. “Negotiations with Qatari and Egyptian mediators are continuing despite the resumption of Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip,” a source familiar with the talks told AFP.
Apparently heavy fighting after the end of the ceasefire
