Warhammer Survivors Coming to PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2

Developer Auroch Digital has announced that Warhammer Survivors, a roguelite action game in the bullet heaven genre, will launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, alongside a previously announced version for PC via Steam.

The announcement, headlined during the Triple-i Showcase, confirms the expansion of the title to consoles later in 2026. The game is developed by Auroch Digital, the studio behind Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, in partnership with Warhammer and poncle, the creators of Vampire Survivors.

Gameplay Mechanics and Universe Integration

Warhammer Survivors is described as a fast-paced roguelite that pits iconic characters against endless hordes of enemies. The title utilizes a pixel art style and integrates two distinct settings: the Warhammer 40,000 universe and the Warhammer: Age of Sigmar universe.

Players can choose between these two universes to engage in battles across various environments. These include the confined corridors of an abandoned Space Hulk and the open, ashen plains of Aqshy. Each stage serves as a unique arena of slaughter featuring specific enemy factions and secrets for players to uncover.

Character Roster and Factions

The game features a roster of renowned champions from both settings, each equipped with unique starting stats and weapons to ensure different gameplay experiences.

Within the Warhammer 40,000 universe, playable characters include:

• Malum Caedo, the hero from Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, who faces swarms of Tyranids.
• Trooper Kozlowski, a Cadian Shock Trooper.
• Brother Luca, a Space Marine Intercessor.

For the Warhammer: Age of Sigmar universe, the available champions include:

• Neave Blacktalon, a warrior of the God-King Sigmar who battles the Skaven menace.
• Gotrek Gurnisson, described as an unstoppable monster-slayer.
• Sharynn Azurwrath, a Stormcast Eternal Vanquisher armed with a Celestial Greatsword.

The Triple-i Showcase reveal also highlighted the inclusion of the Ork faction, along with new characters and devastating weapons.

Platform Availability and Release

The title is slated for a 2026 release across a wide array of hardware. This includes current-generation consoles such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, as well as both the original Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2.

This multi-platform approach allows the roguelite to reach PC users via Steam while expanding the Warhammer intellectual property into the survivors-like subgenre across all major gaming ecosystems.
