9 Apr. 2022 – Mr. Pita Limcharoenrat Leader of the Progressive Party Posted on Facebook with the following details:

The massacre of civilians in Ukraine is a war crime that we must not remain silent. And why should Russia be expelled from the UN Human Rights Council?

War is the worst thing for humanity. Still, war doesn’t necessarily mean slaughter and violence. Because our global community has been uniting the rules of war for centuries. From the Hague Convention of 1899 to the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and the Addendum Protocol of 1977, serious violations of international humanitarian law governing war, whether it be a treaty or international custom, are a war crime. Crime)

The most obvious definition of war crimes is Article 8 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, which refers to violations of the 1949 Geneva Conventions and violations of international law and customs relating to war. This definition covers the massacre of civilians. And although not every country is a state party to the International Criminal Court (ICC), all member states of the United Nations have ratified the 1949 Geneva Convention.

during the past week Many people’s brothers You would have heard that Since Russia began its withdrawal from Kiev on March 30, More than 300 Ukrainian civilians in the city of Bucha, near Kiev, were killed in the streets, prompting international and G7 leaders to condemn the massacre. On April 7, the UN General Assembly voted to suspend Russia from membership of the UN Human Rights Council.

In this regard, I and the Progressive Party condemn the massacre of civilians as a war crime. Calls on the international community to increase humanitarian aid efforts. and called for a diplomatic solution to end violations of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, according to the statement:

Statement on the Killing of Civilians in Ukraine]

The Move Forward Party is appalled by the senseless killing of innocent civilians and deliberate shelling of residential areas in Bucha, Mariupol and other cities in Ukraine.

We condemn in the strongest possible terms indiscriminate attacks against non-combatants in the situation of armed conflicts.

In this regard, we call on the global community to redouble its efforts to establish humanitarian assistance to the people of Ukraine and put an end to the ongoing atrocities.

We continue to call for a diplomatic solution to the ongoing aggression against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The UN General Assembly’s decision to suspend Russia’s membership of the Human Rights Council sends a strong and unequivocal message that there is no place in the civilized world for such barbaric and inhumane acts as those that have been perpetrated on Ukrainian soil.

The Move Forward Party stands in solidarity with the people of Ukraine during these tough and trying times.
