Wendy Williams Declared ‘Permanently Incapacitated’ by Guardian: Latest Health Update and What It Means
Wendy Williams has been diagnosed with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. Earlier this year, her representatives announced this news. Although she seemed to be managing well and expressed that she was “doing good” recently, a letter from her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, indicates otherwise. The letter, addressed to a judge, claims that Williams is “cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated.”
This update comes as part of Morrissey’s lawsuit against A&E Networks. She alleges that the network exploited Williams’ condition during the production of the Lifetime documentary series, Where Is Wendy Williams?. This series aired in February. Morrissey tried to stop the release of the series and is now pursuing compensation for Williams, arguing that the producers profited greatly at her expense. While the producers likely made millions, Williams herself only received $82,000.
Morrissey’s attorney has requested that sensitive information regarding Williams’ health, family, and finances be kept private. They want the court records sealed to protect Williams’ dignity and privacy.
